Artisanally made Venetian crystal Rosary, in a deep Venetian ruby color with iridescent beads, and devotional medallion of the Basilica Shrine of SANTA MARIA DELLA SALUTE on the Grand Canal.
“La Salute” was built as a votive offering in thanksgiving for the end of the Bubonic Plague in 1630 during which a third of the population of Venice died. The Basilica enshrines the icon of the “MESOPANDITISSA”: an ancient and very revered image of Our Lady, devotionally referred to as “Our Lady of Good Health”.
Hand blown crystal beads, entirely made in Venice, Italy, with gorgeous metal cross and center medallion—a delicate iridescent layer in hues of laguna blue covers each bead.
Hand wash with delicate soap only. Dry immediately. Will be shipped in a black velvet pouch.
