The original German publication has been variously dated in the 1860s; Davis established his business in 1857.
Some copies were issued with a single color title leaf naming Davis as the "sole agent for Great Britain and Belgium" and giving his address as "201 Old Kent Road, S.E." In this issue, the two preliminary leaves are printed letterpress (the second is a list of the plates). |
